Acceptable Use Policy

Expected behaviour and prohibited use of the system

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy defines how the School Management System may and may not be used. All users (staff, students, parents, and others) must follow this policy. Violations may result in restricted access or disciplinary action as per school rules.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the system only for authorised school-related purposes, such as: managing attendance, grades, and timetables; viewing or paying fees; communicating with the school; and other functions assigned to your role. Use must be in line with your role and school policies.

3. Prohibited Use

You must not:

  • Share your login details or let anyone else use your account
  • Access or attempt to access data or areas you are not authorised to use
  • Use the system for harassment, bullying, or any form of abuse
  • Upload or share illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Introduce malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the system
  • Copy, scrape, or misuse data for purposes outside school use
  • Use the system for commercial or personal gain unrelated to school duties

4. Data and Privacy

You must handle personal and sensitive data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Do not share student or staff data outside authorised channels. Report any suspected data breach or misuse to the school immediately.

5. Consequences

Violations may lead to warning, temporary or permanent suspension of access, and referral to school disciplinary procedures. Illegal activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use of the system after changes means you accept the updated policy. The school will communicate significant changes where appropriate.
